The Sphinx

Finally...
Here are some pictures of my lessons
with my friend and muse
Marilyn Radzat.

The class is actually over,
but I am just moving through the first lesson!

As a child,
I was fascinated with anything Egyptian.
I told everyone and anyone who would listen...
that I was going to grow up and become an archaeologist...

In some ways...
that is what I have become,
but now, I am fascinated with the rich treasures
to be found in the human psyche and soul...

Many years ago, my aunt sent me this card for Christmas.

This portrait is part of a larger picture by
French artist Luc Oliver Merson,
entitled "Rest on the Flight Into Egypt"

This picture gives me inspiration
and I love having it by my side as I work...

Here is my gourd and the first cuts...

One of my classmates said that I have an acrobatic Sphinx!
