Reviving The Sebastopol Labyrinth of Life for the Summer Solstice

It is a bit of a miracle
that the Santa Rosa Labyrinth of Life
behind the Sebastopol Community Center
is still in existence.

Installed in 1999
with bricks for the lines
this labyrinth disappears
back into the ground
very quickly...

So this past Saturday,
just six months after the last grass-cut,
Cisco and Max of FB Landscaping
met with me and my friends and dancing colleagues
Michael and Barbara Aman of Spirit Moves
to cut away the sod,
revealing the twists and turns yet once again...

This labyrinth
is going to continue to need some TLC.
With Cisco and crew,
we will do our best to keep it up,
but bricks need to be reset
and the sod cut more than twice a year...
If you can help in any way,
please contact me!

This reviving was also in preparation
for Barbara, who will be joined by
Quiana and William Grace-Frost
for a Summer Solstice
Labyrinth & Dance Workshop
on Saturday, June 22nd.
