Spring Lake Village Santa Rosa Labyrinth ~ Day 1

Along with my friend and colleague
Lars Howlett of Discover Labyrinths,
we assisted Robert Ferré of Labyrinth Enterprises
in masking out a thirty-four foot Santa Rosa Labyrinth
at the Spring Lake Village Retirement Center in Santa Rosa, California.

It was a gorgeous day
and the pre-poured concrete slab awaited
for us to roll out our tools for the day.

With some of the Spring Lake Village Community and the Reverend Jacquie
we started with a blessing of our work and the space
all to the lovely flute music played by Robert's wife Linda.
Linda created the most beautiful space
for us to work in with her music.

I got to take the first turn around the circle with
the giant compass...

Then Lars, switching off until all eight circles were laid down
for the seven paths of the Santa Rosa Labyrinth.

Meanwhile...
Robert made a measuring stick compass
to mark off the quarter and half turns...

which Lars and I then marked off with masking tape...

as well
as the heart-space on the fourth path...

soon...
our job for today was complete
and the trio of us are ready to add the color on day 2!

This labyrinth is one of my designs, the Santa Rosa Labyrinth,
installed at the Spring Lake Village in Santa Rosa, CA
by Robert Ferré of Labyrinth Enterprises.
Lars Howlett of Discover Labyrinths and I assisted in this beautiful installation.
