Raven Calls
I want you to know…
that I am the night,
deep and dark
within the soft colors
of your imagination…
Through me…
the endless night of possibilities
shines like the stars
of your childhood,
the wonder that still sparks you,
even now.
I call to you…
fly with me,
discover your wings,
lift your voice with us…
speak,
sing,
dance,
jump…
into this vast unknown,
trust your ability to touch
this earth…
with beauty.
I recently attended a second Awaken Your Creative Portal workshop with artist and colleague Aimee Tomczak at the Fulton Crossing Art Gallery. Aimee has a gift for holding the space for the creative life force to flow through each of her participants, no matter their artistic experience. I’ve been working small for a number of years now… I hoped that something would wake up in me in the space she provides to tap me back into my love of painting on larger canvases.
How grateful I am…
that I accepted her invitation to paint
and that I heard the Raven’s call that evening…
